Students’ Colloquium 2017 by the Department of Economics.

NOTICE

Department of Economics is going to organize the Students’ Colloquium 2017. In this event students of First Year with ECOA in seven groups, will deliver their presentation, based on their syllabus in ECOA Paper IA as per Calcutta University course curriculum. They will primarily focus on different cases of market failure: government regulations in the form of taxation and subsidy, their impact on production, consumption and social welfare. They will address the issue of government regulation in case of pollution and the problems in optimal provision of public goods. The optimal consumption decision in cardinal utility approach will also be covered.

The date venue and the name of the students in each group of presentation with their respective topics are given below:
